Domaine Du Gaillac 2008 £9.59

From the appellation of Gaillac this full bodied wine hit the mark with its minerally, earthy yet soft and smooth red fruit character. Made from a blend of Duras and Syrah which gives the wine nice spice and pepper flavours.

Clos Saint-Martin 2008 £8.13

From Madiran we have a robust wine made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat grapes. Full bodied, smooth offering lots of black pepper and vanilla with just a touch of coffee coming into play.

Clos la Coutale 2009 £9.55

From the Cahors region this is another full bodied wine offering some red fruit character courtesy of Auxerrois, Tannat and Merlot grapes.

My least favourite of the evening as it failed to live up to the other wines tasted.
